Where the work differs

Industry context we use while scoping a workflow

A distributor’s outstanding list, a retail counter bill, a workshop job card, and a factory dispatch note create different software. These pages explain those operational differences. They are not a claim that every business in the industry should buy the same system.

Trading and distribution

Party accounts on both the buy and sell side, document flow between godown and office, and stock only where you truly track it.

Wholesale and retail

Billing speed, quantity and rate entry, customer balances, and end-of-day sales summaries.

Manufacturing and production

Material purchases, production notes you choose to record, finished dispatches, and the accounts linked to them. Not a full factory-control system unless that is the project.

Service-based businesses

Invoices that describe work, client history, and recurring arrangements, without pretending a service is a stocked item.

If your work spans two of these, say so. Many businesses bill like a retailer and collect like a distributor. The scope should follow the work, not the nearest label. Solution pages such as party ledger management and custom billing are shared tools. The industry page explains which of them usually matter.

Tell us the operation, not only the industry

Two firms in the same trade can need different records. Start from your documents.
